One misconception I see about spam labeling: "I'm a real human. I'm not a bot."

Claiming "I'm not a bot" doesn't change the quality of your content. If you're farming replies and not being thoughtful, that's spam.

And saying "Oh, I was just hoping to make some money, I'll do better in the future" doesn't work. Because every spammer will say the same thing.

It's not hard to not be spammy. Just cast a little less, be a little more thoughtful.

I have some thoughts about Dan's cast but I don't think he'll see
I've tried a couple of times but gave up
There are solutions to reduce spam, but as you said in your other cast, we can't reach perfection
There always will be spams, abusers, farmers
Using machine learning is good but not enough 
The founders should have the tolerance to consider normal users' POVs
