Hyper Heat tips: 1) getting the lasers (pictured below) are key. Not knowing what they did, I initially avoided these. 2) generally stay at the bottom to maximize your time to react. But don’t hesitate to move up if needed. 3) practice!!! It takes a little time to get an intuition for how to maximize your score.

I saw in the leaderboard numbers 1000+ points in hyper heat, I don't know how they did it, but they disappeared from the leaderboard in a few days (these accounts) lol
