The term implies that the plant is neither a hybrid nor a selected cultivar that is any different from the native plant, even if it is growing where it would not naturally be found. Price Paid for Painting: $198 million Touted as one of Rembrandt's most vibrant masterpieces, The Standard-Bearer is a 1636 self-portrait of the Dutch Golden Age artist. The painting once belonged to England’s King George IV before the Rothschild family acquired it in 1844. In late 2021, the Dutch government announced it planned to purchase the artwork from the Rothschilds for the country’s national collection. The painting was finally sold to the Netherlands for €175 million (around $198 million) in 2022 and has since been on special display at museums throughout the country.

Hedge Fund Billionaire Kenneth C. Griffin purchased Number 17A from David Geffen along with Interchange in 2015, and he loaned both to the Art Institute of Chicago. Unfortunately, this particular painting is no longer on display anywhere.

When viewing the painting from a close range, the viewer sees nothing but a canvas with frequent thick oil strokes. All the magic of the work is revealed when we gradually begin to move away from the canvas at a longer distance. At first, we see incomprehensible semi-circles passing through the middle of the painting, then we see the clear outlines of boats, and if we move about two meters, all the connecting works will appear in front of us and form a logical chain.

The Starry Night is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh, painted in June 1889. It depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the addition of an imaginary village.[1][2][3] It has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City since 1941, acquired through the Lillie P. Bliss Bequest. Widely regarded as Van Gogh's magnum opus,[4] The Starry Night is one of the most recognizable paintings in Western art.[5][6]

The diamond is currently set in the Crown of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
