Arbitrum and Optimism are parasitic to Ethereum in the same way Texas and California are parasitic to the U.S. (They're not) Btw the people arguing for more on the L1 aren't necessarily wrong imo. But that's more a question of states vs federal responsibilities - and it's a good conversation to have. I think Ethereum will graduate from its loose Articles of Confederation era to its unified Federal Constitution era. A United Chains of Ethereum.

Arbitrum and Optimism are not parasitic, but rather enhancing Ethereum's ecosystem. The debate over L1 responsibilities mirrors states vs federal responsibilities. Ethereum is evolving towards a more unified and structured system
