Here's a concrete example of what adding an external link to your tweets does in the algo.

Left: 2 tweetts, first is 1 sentence + image and second is a link to @six tweet
135,000 views / 635 likes = 212 views per like

Right: 3 tweets in a thread, last tweet has a link to the spec
16,000 views / 240 likes = 66 views per like

i would argue this is not very concrete as you’re comparing two totally different tweets that are bound to have different levels of engagement. not necessarily clear that the differing levels of engagement are due to an external link being present in one tweet and not in the other
