There are some people that have no emotion (this was discussed at Walter Reed with a psychiatrist that did his dissertation on this specific issue relating to EMS firefighter personnel)

Now... To determine that... It's like a power cable he said... You have happy and sad emotions. If you have one you have the other... 

This was in relation to myself because my wife was worried that I was emotionally detached...

He simply said... When you were home for your parents funeral... Did you laugh... I said yes... He said... You're not emotionally detached (my  parents died in a car accident the weekend before my first day in D.C.)

In short... There are some bad ass MFer's....I'll hold my stories from guys like him over a 🍻
