I see you’ve found statistical mechanics. A very under appreciated area of physics. Checkout the derivativation of this equation sometime: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sackur–Tetrode_equation It’s a good example of where quantum mechanics assumptions leads to a tangible conclusion.

If you take that equation, and maximize entropy using the other free variables, you end up with the ideal gas law. So the ideal gas law is there because it’s the maximal entropy state of a gas. And that’s actually very hard to see unless you assume the gas particles are quantum in nature
