Am I to understand that you’re saying phonons are able to replicate quantum properties because they themselves are made up of quantum  particles?

If you take that equation, and maximize entropy using the other free variables, you end up with the ideal gas law.

So the ideal gas law is there because it’s the maximal entropy state of a gas.

And that’s actually very hard to see unless you assume the gas particles are quantum in nature
