A very interesting situation is playing out on BTC with the new Flora Forms set.

Many praised the set early, but in the past hour several duplicate and triples have been found.

Harto (the artist) responded and alluded to a twin narrative but didn’t share before.

Thoughts on duplicates in a 10k gen art set?

I don’t know this specific case, but in general I feel strongly that edition size should be based on what the algorithm can produce without duplicates. It is very hard to make an algorithm that can output 10k pieces that are distinct and still cohesive. Most gen art algorithms therefore have 100-500 edition count.
