What is it with people and not liking Paris??

Growth Lead at @yup, an app where you can crosspost to Farcaster, Twitter, Lens and Bluesky at once and enjoy their aggregated content

i consistently hear 2 criticisms:
1) Parisians are rude
2) Paris is dirty

1 is probably explained by tourists not being used to the French way of life or committing the sin of not leading with “bonjour”

2 i think (at least from America) is tourists coming from sprawling suburbs where their idea of dirty is uninformed
