Runes are still driving up block fees - latest block was 9 BTC in block rewards: https://mempool.space/block/000000000000000000018122945cc6a571237351070bf51f1c0f718177a30ca3

Feels like Triggerable Exits (EIP 7002) is getting overshadowed by other Pectra EIPs. This proposal will allow validators to initiate exits from their withdrawal address & reduce dependencies on the validator key for exiting. https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/eip-7002-execution-layer-triggerable-exits/14195

Two lesser known facts about running a validator with Rocket Pool: 1. Option to opt into their smoothing pool that removes the randomness from block proposals 2. In the event of a client issue, RP offers rescue nodes that you could easily fallback on if needed 🚀

Rocket Pool has incredible documentation for those looking to be a node operator and may be less technical. It takes ~2 hours to get your infrastructure running using their guide: https://docs.rocketpool.net/guides/node/responsibilities

Agreed that halving will be the 20th (not 19th) as I expect some miners to drop offline this epoch and block speed to average closer to 10m

Been running my Bitcoin node for 3 years. Have opened 3+ lightning channels and made <$0.01 on routing payments 😔

11 days till halving! Fun fact: we'll have a better sense of exact halving date and time in the next difficulty adjustment which is for tomorrow. It's estimated that network "difficulty" will increase by 4% meaning blocks should normalize closer to 10 minutes between blocks
