Will you be dropping a specific topic for the cast of the day? Or it is just random?

This is a great question. The mods will drop themes for the day. if there is no theme for that day, it will be a free-for-all.  I know they already have some themes lined up for y'all.  

Also, there will be no cast of the day on days we have artist features.  So none on this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, and the following Friday through Sunday.

Yes, that stuff is important, too.  But just like family dinners, no religion or politics.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and there are plenty of channels they can express that stuff, BE won't be one of them.
