What's the best way to gift a newbie crypto? I shouldn’t know their seed phrase nor be the owner of the wallet; they don’t care to manage these funds (yet). Do we not have a service that securely facilitates key transfer/custody?

Why do you want to do this? If you want them to hold it, I think the multisig idea is good, or look into how parents set up crypto wallets/trusts for their kids. If you want them to use it/become enthusiasts, then maybe look into how they can use crypto easily (MetaMask, Rainbow...) and in a way they'll enjoy

Every time I’ve done this they’ve lost the keys immediately lol So I’d back it up for them and tell them to move it to another wallet when they’re ready

Been doing this recently. 1. Send them @rainbow app (Apple/android) 2. Ask them to copy-paste address (they his gets them a lot of times, they struggle) 3. Follow wallet. 4. Send /higher & /degen Then I watch and text the drama of the market play with us. We become friends about crypto, they ask me questions. Then I ask them to cut our palms and hold hands. (This is a joke for the more sensitive crowds)

Good question, I think a multisig wallet can be a good solution. Next teach them how to send the assets to a personal wallet of their own

i wrote a protocol that stores crypto as a vault/piggy bank, in the form of an NFT that can be gifted/sold/sent to any number of people; the vault unlocks when predetermined conditions are met. maybe that would serve your needs? http://empactvaults.io/
