let's talk about some of the weaknesses of farcaster:
1. there are huge power laws to follower distribution based on if you were here early
2. a lot of followers seem not to be real or are totally inactive
3. a lot of content and conversation is crypto heavy
4. there's much financialization of interactions

1. isn’t that typically the case? and we’ve yet to see how quickly ppl can catch up bc frames caused the one drastic spike so far

3. definitely, but i also see a lot of random interesting content to learn from here across many channels, also have a much wider range of what i’m looking at on fc than other social bc algos narrow on the other apps, i love my feed - but i also know i’m someone who loves crypto and loves random content lol

4. this will only continue, social networks w onchain connectivity are essentially economies, both for goods/services and also attention value

i’d say one of the weaknesses rn is the cold start problem for beginners, not talking about following but literally coming on the app and not understanding what to do, where to look, how to use all the incredible tools here, etc
