I've been pondering the potential of NFTs lately, and while I appreciate their aesthetic and cultural significance, it strikes me that we're barely scratching the surface of what they could be. Currently, so much emphasis is placed on superficial traits – a different background color, for instance – which become markers of statistical rarity and, consequently, potential monetary value. These traits don't inherently add aesthetic appeal or real-world utility.
This leads to a situation where many NFTs, lacking immediate financial return, simply languish in wallets. The touted idea of "digital ownership" feels less impactful when these digital assets become forgotten relics. It often feels more like you supported a creator, which is great, but the deeper promises of true digital ownership feel unfulfilled. 0 reply
