In Ep. 58 of Rising Tide, @dkleine and I unpack what really defines an artist, Apple’s quiet shift on NFTs and crypto payments, examine tokenized real-world assets, and the MSTY YieldMax ETF. https://pods.media/rising-tide/the-great-debate-who-gets-to-be-an-artist

🎉the survey is now closed! thank you to everyone who participated. for the survey shared on x/wc, the winner of the giveaway will be chosen randomly on Tuesday. i'll eventually share results on my blog /epr. right now, i'm writing a ~20k-word paper. soon, i'll publish with the data, code, and working paper on OSF. then, I'll start to get a version ready for peer-reviewed submissions.🤞🏼 and eventually a 5-page white paper for practitioners who to engage in human-centered organizational change (HCOC). thanks for taking part! ❤️

thank you for sharing! and you're right about the industry classifications. i struggled with making sure there was enough choice while also not having the survey taker be confronted with a wall of text that might cause drop off early in the survey. might need to make it multiple choice in a future iteration as well.

I'm 30 days out from getting back into the NFT/crypto/digital art scene in NYC. I live 5 miles away, and Secaucus Junction is my home station. It's a quick ride. So, tell me where I need to go first? Which gallery? What office should I visit? I have some places and people in mind already, but what say you?

I was also reminded of how security-conscious we all are in this space. So I just wanted to share the following about my AI + Work survey. 1️⃣ I'm using Typeform to capture data. It's a tool used by many products in this space. 2️⃣ I DO ask for generalizable information about you (age, industry, geographic region, like US, EU, Canada) 3️⃣ I DON'T ask for any personally identifiable information (name, home address, email, etc.) in the survey. 4️⃣ I DON'T capture IP addresses either. 5️⃣ You can voluntarily provide your ETH address for the giveaway, but it's not a survey requirement. Hope this helps alleviate potential concerns.

I've been studying the impact of AI and emerging tech on workers in grad school. From that work i created an independent project (a self-imposed thesis, really) which is a study about how AI impacts people's lives at work. If you could take 5 min to answer some questions anonymously, I'd really appreciate it. 🔗 https://fowlab.net/survey 🎁 when you finish the survey, you can enter to win a limited edition of "The Office" by @deltasauce.eth

Graduation’s in a couple of weeks. I compressed a two-year program into eight months. Somewhere in the middle, I piloted an independent study on how AI changes work, trust, stress, autonomy, and meaning. Now I’m looking for 300 people to take part in the next phase. 🧠 6 min survey: https://fowlab.net/survey 🎁 Giveaway: 1 of 146 edition of @deltasauce.eth’s The Office 📖 Backstory: https://blog.epr.net/ai-in-the-workplace-study

Was given some advice today that stopped me dead in my tracks and instantly grounded me in the present moment. "Stop mourning a moment that wasn’t built for the version of you that’s emerging."

always comes from the self-publishers and independent authors/publishers first. they're more likely to experiment. for example; 50 Shades of Gray was originally published as Edward and Bella Twilight fan fiction. A PDF was being passed around (if i rememeber correctly) and ereaders were quite popular with the indy crowd. not sure what will pop off first, but whatever it will be it will be a book, story, or author plucked from these experimental forms and brought into the trad publishing world.

I spent nearly a decade in book publishing. I’ve seen tech advancements get branded an industry “killer.” First it was blogs, then ebooks, then social media. Yet the industry always survived. Your AI-powered ideas feel like the next evolution: personalizable, living texts that finally close those gaps in creation and consumption. Having lived through these panic cycles, I’m curious how the industry will embrace/hate on AI-tools and what will ultimately become accepted, especially re: reader-driven publishing.
