...the adopters. In this way, we are acclimating ourselves to the new medium and its capabilities using pre-existing ideas and concepts. This actually helps build the infrastructure of thought and sets the stage for more innovative and disruptive concepts that end up paving the way for new uses and radical ideas. 2/2

Based on your words I think a term that combines both would be "Stress test period". We are all learning a new language here and I've never seen someone start with writing poems on his first day in Duolingo. 1/2
