Hypothetical—if you were forced to go get a PhD in one of the following science fields, which would it be and why?

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Biology

1 because it all boils down to physics/math. i want to be working in the field that is uncovering/redrawing the map, even if it would be anxiety inducing at times

i agree with this except i don't know if you can park math as an abstraction layer over physics necessarily, very much possible that we find mathematical inconsistencies as a result of exploring further into the universe. i have random mini anxiety attacks thinking about how some of our fundamental math could be wrong
