Decentralization ensures the robustness of systems. When a system relies on a central authority, it becomes fragile, vulnerable to errors, corruption, and the misguided decisions of disconnected "experts." Fragility stems from concentrated power and limited adaptability. Nature exemplifies decentralization. No "central planner" dictates evolution or resource distribution; the system responds locally, learning from mistakes and adapting continuously. In markets, central intervention creates crises and collapses. Decentralization, with free agents acting independently, leads to effective self-regulation. Decentralization is essential for long-term sustainability. History shows that centralized power eventually collapses, while decentralized systems foster growth and innovation.
