Warpcast location feature + ETHDenver

The goal of the feature is to increase the number of in-person interactions across all of Farcaster.

Speaking up for some of the people who might also be thinking of safety, can you share more details about how this works and what is shared?

If you’re comfortable publicly casting about being at ETHDenver, then this feature is roughly equivalent.

So it’s default off but is an optional setting that displays the city you are in?

Yeah, default off, will display whatever city you specify, and removable anytime. At the time you set your location, accounts that follow you will receive a notification if their location is the same.

Love that it’s optional and not location tracking! Good tip to know that a notification goes out when you set it. Would I have known that if you hadn’t told me? ie Is their help text or a pop up that tells you others will be notified of your location once you enter it?
