After 15 years, the first time exprerience on a new iPhone is still hell, or is it just me? With iCloud backups, keychain, 1password, etc. you would expect to be right at home after restoring your new phone but sadly 95% of the apps are logged out, wallet needs to reconfigure all the cards, mail lost passwords, etc.

Might sound crazy, but I think that people that are price insensitive are not upgrading their iPhone every year because they know that will be signing up for several month of inconveniences. After 6 months I still find apps where I’m logged out: I don’t use the garage door app, the sprinkler app, etc. every day…

I left apple when I stopped making music and the lack of disposable income made it hard. I joined Google and have had the pixel phones since. The tech is good and the way they sync from old phone to new is incredible. I have apple tech again through work now but still happy with what I've got.
