It might sound crazy, but these have a better sound quality than AirPods Max. 

I might even say that the lightning adapter reduces the quality a bit. Maybe it’s just me. (Any audiophile expert here?)

The bass is pumping just right, the treble is crystal clear, and the mids are well balanced. With AirPods Max, sometimes individual instruments are not easily identifiable. Are you finding AirPods Max better?

what do you mean by “better”? they are objectively worse by pretty much every metric besides portability and weight.

I just saw this now. The lightning does reduce the quality a bit due to the digital-to-analog conversion. Actually, the AirPods Max have better bass, while these leak bass because of their open-back design.
