I am appealing to FC community for help

On 21 May, my laptop was hacked by a Trojan app. Browser crypto wallets were wiped out, mainly on eth and @base networks

Hoping someone knows @vitalik.eth  or someone who can advise on recovery 🥹 Anyone?

Unfortunate it is. With a 1% chance, I have informed law enforcement, exchange and chainabuse. I will spend next week focusing on upgrading my security protocol around personal deployable assets. Shoutout to friends at Merkle Science, Chainalysis for responding quickly.

Recovery is... unlikely. If users move quickly to notify exchanges and off-ramping services, they can blacklist the wallet and (maybe) capture the funds. Generally, chances of recovery are low and your focus should be on operational security (your laptop, wallet permissions, etc).

Lesson learned: don't trust anyone. Once your wallet is compromised, there's no way to recover the money. This is both the good and the bad side of cryptocurrencies

A few days ago, someone messaged me to try out a game, which turned out to be a Trojan that wiped out wallets and left you without internet. I managed to identify the problem, disconnected from the internet, disinfected, and withdrew the funds.
