Disappeared for a hot minute but back again better than ever! Just wanted to share a little introduction to Midnight, the company I’ve been building over the past six months. We’re unveiling a lot more as we get closer to Token 2049. If you’re going to be there please do let me know!

I can’t wait to share all of this with you guys! Prepare to be haunted 🤭👻 Full integration of physical ceramic artworks with blockchain technologies in ways I doubt you could quite guess 😉 but please do try!?

In the midst of my second encounter with Covid I have been testing the launch of my next, and biggest project to date. Something that spans ceramics and blockchain technology. I have been secretly streaming for the past few days to a very small audience. If you’d like to join us on those tests send me a message and I’ll send ya the link 😉🤭👻 Nosebleed from blowing my nose too much truly felt like a new low 😂

Losing my mind today with my web developers who keep changing my perfectly designed Figma files and then trying to get me to sign off the next stage of development… Joked to my business partner about hitting them over the head with the OG computer to get them to see sense. Now googling it, had no clue it weighed 30 tons 🫣🤭 But in other news, can’t wait for the website to be ready so I can properly start sharing the project I’ve been working! And while we all wait, here are some glaze tests for that very same project drying atop the kiln.

In my dream last night I posted on Phaver. All I remember is that the post was only a few sentences long… and it was very cryptic.

An update on the ceramic piece I shared a few posts ago 🫶 I didn’t put enough of the pink glaze on and so it’s come out patchy and missing in places. Will need a second coat and additional firing to fix it I reckon. Then will fire the top part in the same colours, having learned the mistakes from the first 😂 Ashtray as reference to how the pink was supposed to come out in video…

I have been so sick with Covid these past few days and everybody I’ve spoken to (over the phone) has been so nonchalant about it. It seems no one is particularly worried, or it’s reached a point of such intense normalisation that people can hardly remember how much of a stranglehold it had on our lives all those years ago. But more positively it has me thinking about the adoption of blockchain technologies. If we can normalise a disease that almost bankrupted the world and killed millions of people, it hardly seems extreme to imagine a near future where the world runs on cryptocurrencies and the internet is closer to democratisation. Here’s to hoping and to healing! have a beautiful start to your week 🫶✨🌙

Gm everybody! This piece is called ‘The Apple of Eden’. It was supposed to be an interpretation of a poisoned apple (hence the spikes) but tbh looks a lot more like a conker 😅 I’m hoping with colour this will change! It’s made in two parts so that the bottom can be used as a pot/for storage, and the top can be turned over and used as an ashtray 🤭 The bottom half of this crazy piece (I have to fire it in two parts so it doesn’t stick together) was put in the kiln last night to add some colour. I’ll share the results later today if it turns out decently!

Thank you everybody for the support of my first post yesterday! When I first started making art iPads weren’t the art tools they are today. Everything began with a mouse and ended, if you were lucky, with a Wacom tablet. Digital art was so young then and I was pushed out of it by disapproving teachers and friends who couldn’t wrap their heads around the strange worlds I inhabited while sat at my computer. So I stumbled into ceramics, and when I think about it, I realise I’ve been building a bridge back ever since. For fun I went back through the archive of my fourteen year old self and stumbled upon some fantastical commissions I did as part of a small digital character community. Here’s one of my favourites!

Hello Phaver community! My name is Elska Leeloo and I’m a ceramicist that has stumbled into becoming a Web 3 founder. I’ve been haunting the community for a while now but have been so deep in the development of my first phygital project that I haven’t had the chance to introduce myself yet. That will all be changing over the coming days and weeks as I finally re-enter the digital world to share everything that I’ve been up to! Here is an old favourite piece of mine to give a taste 😉 hope y’all join me for the journey ✨🌙
