The Final Dance represents our perception of the world today, an environment seemingly spiraling into chaos. But how should we respond? Our answer is to enjoy the final moments and dance through it all, until the very end !

Some insights of the process if you like, it was a long ride, again. As usual with my work, I strive to make the best use of any ideas, tools, and processes I have at my disposal.

While trying the new version of MJ, v4 at the time, I noticed something interesting, it was easy to create slight variations of the same generation. The decomposition of movements I observed immediately reminded me of the work of Étienne-Jules Marey and Eadweard Muybridge.

I reached out to @singlezer0, one of the most proficient video/animation artists I know, to see if he'd be interested in collaborating. Fortunately, he was not discouraged by the considerable workload needed to make this project a reality. So I made those for him, 132 images.

I sectioned the motions into three categories: forward, front, and backward. Forward ones are centered on the left characters, front ones on all of them, backward ones on the right characters. This process allowed Single to have all he needed to make various assemblages.
