I open sourced my Cursor .mdc rules! Here's how to use .mdc's to be 10x more productive 👇 https://youtu.be/ABozvKmctkc

My guy reaction is this seems very involved and maybe heavy handed. When you’re coding now, you’re sure this speeds things up for AI-generated code?

It depends on the type of code but yes. I won’t use it for one off patterns. But when I need to add a new server action it should look the exact same as all my other server actions. So this helps the ai a lot. Another way to do this is tag a sample file.

Meaning telling cursor create a file similar to this other file. But that has problems as a real file can include a lot of noise. If you jump to the last 3 mins of the video you’ll see it in action. And that was a real use case for a feature I added the other day.
