It depends on the customer segment - do you trust them to FAFO? their age - what generation do they belong to? and other factors like how trustworthy is your UX, is it identical or in sync with major players? Are you doing something complicated? Do you have an extra step that needs to be done? Being a person with very low patience when it comes to using apps, I will for sure bounce off 100% times if I get a hint of it being complicated or something doesn’t do what I supposed it should do or behave in a certain manner that mind sees fit. Btw I founded a startup that built a no-code tool which can fetch your app’s UI and then you just drag and drop tool-tips on top of your UI, create a chain of steps and activate the whole journey by integrating 2 lines of code. Its quite needed actually if you make it interactive. And its would be pain in the ass if you ask your dev team to create such journeys and it will have life sucking effects with missing features like analytics and a/b testing :)
