Flat out war is ineffective accelerationism. The most e/acc thing is a globally peaceful society which puts all its resources towards levelling up the Kardashev scale. Cold War nostalgists will still argue its conditions brought about necessary civilisational competition. But the war was abstractified due to nukes.

But the Cold War was very violent on its peripheries of the developing nations. Which might explain how ‘ineffectively’ places like Central America, Afghanistan, African countries like the DRC accelerated (accelerate into what exactly?) War brings huge transformation but it is always undesirable.

I’m compelled the “nukes were necessary and e/acc” as it’s the same adversarial limit case as BTC MAD was BTC’s fundamental innovation which provides bedrock for cooperative web3 environment to flourish Coop strats need to reach critical mass to dominate https://dl.acm.org/doi/abs/10.1145/2240166.2240167
