I'm afraid of Wilson's idea. I'm also happy to be proven wrong be Wilson and other braver souls :) I worry we'll hurt the brand if: - we end up funding subpar proposals because we feel rushed and better props aren't showing up - we end up burning a lot and many ppl feel it's a giant waste

agree and feel the same, its def risky. but - is it not the inevitable? forget the burn and lets assume the arb magically disappears, what makes us think that we’d spend more (or less) thoughtfully then? imo, the burn (or any forcing function) just gets us to the endgame faster. we will learn the truth.

I want to learn faster, on that we're aligned. I fear the fast pace of spend or burn will lead to some pretty bad spending. More than ever we'll be a grift target, and more than ever the grift will work out. Much to say about this, not enough characters 😅

One easy thread to pull: we are not clear on our existing builders who's amazing and who isn't. When familiar names will come for more, we will default to yes more than ever before. And in the less awesome cases the outcome will be net negative.

i have to disagree on that. personally i have a good sense of which builders are exceptional and merit large allotments. same for those which are good but have’t yet seen traction and merit med sized allotments, etc that’s not to say i am right (we only know in hindsight) but i feel confident in my voting

I've had many conversations with people about which props were a success vs failure, and it was too easy to disagree 😅

If burn were slower, would the concern feel the same? makes me think the concern is the dao’s ability to make good decisions that outweigh the bad ones, regardless of speed. which is fair but again inevitable. dao should be able to handle speed and size now (as i don’t think it will get easier as supply grows)
