I want to get USDC on Base. Is there a faster/cheaper way to do that other than using bridge.base.org? e.g. can one buy USDC on coinbase.com and send those tokens directly to Base? (ideally without using Coinbase Wallet bc I don't seem to want to use it) thanks!

can send out of the Coinbase CEX to any base wallet address, it’s near instant and free

Would suggest socket.tech, aggregator of bridges. If you are swapping from usdc on one network to another most likely will use the circle CCTP bridge.

Yes you can! I have USDC on Coinbase right now and when I tap send I can choose which chain to send to. There might be some regional restrictions though, I remember seeing something about special rules for NY but this is what I see:

I haven’t tried to send USDC but for ETH you can just send Mainnet to your MetaMask, pick the base route and it will bridge for you. Maybe that option is available for usdc as well?
