What else should we fix with direct casts?

when I’m in a group chat and I am trying to get caught up, if I like or comment, it auto scrolls me all the way to the bottom of the conversation.  Then, I have to manually scroll all the way back up to where I was in the chat.

This used to happen to me and it made it impossible to read large group chats. To the point where I just stopped looking at them.

Surprisingly though, I just checked and it seems to be fixed.

Yeah I've all but stopped participating in GC because of this

Check and see if it’s fixed for you now

It might be, but hard to say - there weren't many unread messages in my GCs after I went to confirm that this was still happening before replying to this thread

I just went up in a GC and reacted to a message, backed out of the GC and went back in, and it put me back at the bottom

I used the back gesture on Android, not sure if that matters

You can just go and like or reply to any message deep up the scroll and see if it stays on it or rolls back down to bottom of the chat
