I love what @tinyrainboot expressed in this reflection, and I completely resonate with her “frustration.” Here are some of my thoughts on the what is going on right now with all these platforms:
I believe that we, as artists, are being exploited by platforms that were supposed to bring positive change. It's frustrating. It feels like they are drifting away from the original ethos of Web3—the idea of a decentralized space where artists could truly thrive and be valued—and edging closer to the same old practices. Instead of breaking away from the systems that undervalue art and artists, these platforms seem to be repeating them, rebranding the old under the guise of something “new”
