crypto

It's fucked up there's no info how to use channels like /crypto. I don't even know who launched it, who to contact to join without doing quite a bit of research.

cc @woj.eth cause you're likely more approachable. Doesn't it make sense to have the same user journey for any channel? Click to join. Here's rules and 1,2,3 extra requirements. done/no access granted.

Some Channels are open, others should have a button like /airstack  that shows clearly the Info how to join („hold 1 $moxie“) or like /berlin that uses a bot for access control & as anti-Spam mechanism (quality user can access if followed by xyz, and does abc).

All up to the owner but flow should be unified across farcaster because it‘s pain to solve a riddle with every Channel you‘re interested in.

I personally like a /crypto channel to be quality, filled with interesting News, Takes, not flooded with Spam - so, I wouldn’t make it open but rather use such a bot to let likely good Users show proof & join, and maybe organize a few volunteer mods/posters who can manually help newcomers, flag spam, ban users.

Ps: I think the lack of a few high quality, modded channels (Crypto, trading, crypto x AI, nft, DeFi) is holding up farcaster from being a serious go-to solution for crypto natives & a substitute for Telegram, Twitter.
