so i’ve found I like plain text things, generally, like hledger. org mode looks interesting, as well as obsidian. do you have a preference? tried either?

their notes to website thing seems cool, do you know if there’s a way to host it yourself? also is it possible to sync with mobile without paying them?

I believe so but dont know. I use the Digital Garden plugin to push to my own website via github -> 11ty. Yes I use dropbox but you might want to engage in the reddit, discord, or obsidian forum communities for your needs. If you like it but dont subscribe, I recommend a one time VIP donation if they still do it
