Why is the Base Leader Jesse posting so many nice sounding words every day but COMPLETELY IGNORING the most important question of all, WHEN BASE DECENTRALIZED? it's currently entirely centralized. to be very clear, this is literally anti crypto core ethos

it really isn't based (as of now). so i keep asking, and keep getting ignored. i don't know why. this is nothing against Jesse (or the Base team) as a person at all. and certainly not against Base itself. i care about Base and i want it to be truly based. otherwise i can't stand behind it.

yeah, it seems like it. and that sets a dangerous precedent! if crypto projects gain big traction while being centralized with only vague promises of future decentralization, it weakens the incentive to actually decentralize. specifically in the context of bringing "the world onchain", it's crucial to ensure that decentralization isn't just an afterthought but a core principle imho

my guess is they're waiting for some real hype for an L2 for reason of decentralisation then they'll swoop in 

i suppose decentralisation isn't as much a priority as growing base for now

The decision to launch Base as a OP-flavoured L2 was why I quit Coinbase. I have been working tirelessly since to build the L1 I felt they should have launched.
