real time voice translation and music playing features seemed cool though i just think this is the entirely wrong form factor and seems like they're scrambling to fit a lot of things into one instead of focusing on a vision

People are looking for ways to work smarter, turn off technology, and touch grass, and there are companies like these that think we all want to be cyborgs all the time, including time offline

It may not be THE future, but it is A future. We need better, less distracting tech that we can integrate more harmoniously into our lives. I don't think this can be done by many current companies because of incentives. Experience and capability (convenience) will always win for masses.
