Mini Apps

Channels update

Older casts from channels that you aren't a member of have returned to your profile (#5 in the cast below).

To make it clearer—and so channel owners understand why their channel label is appearing a cast from a non-member—we added a simple label on the cast page.

This update is rolling out on mobile, already live on web.

Channels update

We added the dedicated channels tab for everyone. 

Previously, this was only available for users with priority mode turned on.

Rolling out on web and mobile over the next few hours.

Farcaster protocol fees recently dropped from $3 to $2

If you're using Warpcast, you now can signup with a $3 in-app purchase. 

- $2 for Farcaster fees
- $1 for app store fees

Reducing Sign Up Costs

- New spam model rolled out — much fewer false positives

- Not as much progress from last week because there were other tasks on Warpcast's plate, will start looking into this more in the next few days
- Coming Soon: verified accounts
    - connecting your Twitter profile, being able to show it as a badge on your Warpcast profile
        - nice for convenience too
    - wondering if it’ll help give you exposure on the algo, eg if you’re a new user with a lot of Twitter followers
    - right now will just be in Warpcast, but want to add this to the protocol

Sign In with Farcaster

- Priorities are web and multiclient support
- Looking into whether smart wallets + passkeys can help
    - Could make it easy, so that no matter what client you request to a domain such as keys.farcaster.xyz
    - Still doing research on all of this, but interested in the direction & cognizant of the fact that this is something users & devs would want(or is at least trending towards)
