P.S. — The most difficult part of building a consumer app is getting and retaining daily active users. Even more pressing for VC-backed apps (time preference is much higher). Farcaster likely needs to be 2 orders of magnitude larger before that user population is large enough for apps to be 100% focused on FC.

My hunch: DAU focus is premature. The flywheel gets wild if Farcaster interest graph flourishes (metric: # daily reacts). For Warpcast, I'd likely focus on depth of social (metric: # daily mutual engagements, like reacts, DMs, or casts).

I think it is interesting to assess the impact that #Degen has had on the social network. At this moment, the signaling of what generates rewards is driving a large part of the social network's activity. I believe it demonstrates that it is difficult to have initial traction without tokens.

For someone with experience in programming for mobile apps that has recently been infected with the Web3 love virus and wishes to start building on Farcaster, today, where would you recommend starting, along with studying these great examples, of course?
