Outside of ski racing, the best skiers I know are about elegance, form, making it look effortless. It's like they're dancing.

Going fast down a resort slope is just going to get you or someone else hurt.

Why? Isn't being able to control yourself at those speeds a good thing? 

(I don't know anything about skiing, this is a genuine question)
