I think they got spooked by the legal implications. The main value prop was uncensorable transactions of gray/black market goods, and this would draw way too much scrutiny from authorities.

Maybe it could be tried again by anon devs though...

What's crazy is that it was actually working for a minute there. Haven was awesome, and was basically an Amazon/eBay -esqe mobile app frontend for OpenBazaar. It was amazing and super polished.

Friends of mine were successfully operating storefronts for years. I guess they got funding and flamed out or something?

On Nostr they were creating a way to post things for sale and purchasable through lightning.
