If you're a 20-something feeling down because of the Forbes 30 under 30 list drop today, it's mostly an anti-signal. The legit people are legit because people already know the company / product / work and the ones you've never heard of until the list, well, they mostly fall off the map in your 30s.

Also major red flag if the person has Forbes 30 under 30 in their bio.

@dwr.eth one underrated benefit of Forbes 30U30 is it makes getting the EB-1 visa/green card a lot easier. It's the only reason I've been thinking about it (26 now lol)

Interestingly enough - many people do not figure their lifes until 30sthg. Rather than focusing on the Forbes ranking, I'd focus on building a versatile skill set one can use later in life and to help others. Rankings mean very little, actions tell much more.

I met 10-15 people listed on these 30U30 lists in Poland, and I 100% agree.

These lists are ad driven. 99% of the time there is a thru line to an organization buying ads or the person has a social profile that attracts ad buyers. Still an overall positive signal imho and something to be proud of. But def not something worry about.

Pitch for new bs rank list: The dirty thirty’s founders who messed up first compani(es) then found success in their 30s Or Founders who bootstrapped a company in their 30s

I learned yesterday that Catholic Churches get marketing firms to get their priests on the path to saint good. Imagine what a egomaniac founder with a trust fund .will do to get Forbes 30 under 30

the biggest red flag for this list in my country is that it appears in "the most prestigious newspaper" and it is a 50 page booklet "on innovation" and the only thing that you see in there are old people on pictures with young people.
