Had to stop and sell the photography gear for my hobby back in June due to redundancy. This was my gear and the photographs I was able to take with it.

If you are wondering why the stacked raw is green, it's because there are more green pixels in the bayer matrix of the sensor (twice as many) so the green cast is just a by product of the stacking process and very easy to remove.

I am a total astro photography noob how much do you think it will cost me to buy the equipment that helped you take a picture like this?

oh quick napkin math would be around £3500. I built it in stages as deep-sky astrophotography isn't cheap.

how remote did you need to manage the light pollution

So hear is the beauty of Deep-sky astro, if you shoot narrowband, the filter can cut through light pollution from your images. That photo is from my back garden at the edge of a Bortle 4 town. (1 being the best seeing, 10 being the worst). The processing software I use also can remove LP from your images also.
