People often invent for themselves that they are simply OWED rewards, and when this doesn't happen, they start blaming the project, even though no one promised anything.

That said, hope farcaster moves to a design where there are incentives (not rewards!) for hub operators to store data as in filecoin. I cannot think of any other way to have a neutral protocol.
