make inviting easier. i get like 100 dms per week asking me to invite them to the channel and the flow is so annoying. i want to invite directly from DM, probably with a dropdown list for the channels i own sorted by most recently invited

Make an option for channels to not require invite. My assumption is most big channels won’t gate invites, especially after the negative feedback from everyone. I know it’s a protocol level thing and maybe I don’t fully understand that part, but if there was a way to do this and if channels used it then it would essentially revert the part of the channel changes that caused the most friction. If channels don’t want to do that then it’s on them and that’s fine.

+1 on moving membership requests and approvals into Warpcast. Two more: 1) The biggest issue with channels is that users still treat them like tags. From what I’ve seen, only channel announcements bring users back, and even those get less engagement now than when they were first introduced. Pinned casts without announcements get far less attention, which suggests most users aren’t visiting channels directly. It seems like a design problem since Warpcast is so focused on the home feed. 2) The other big issue is that we need more quality users. Most membership requests to /music are from spammy users (by my own definition), so I end up rejecting the majority of them. The same users keep requesting repeatedly, which is frustrating, so I only check Cura once or twice a month to go through the pending requests.

channels should have a persistent banner/CTA button imo Readily available wherever the channel is When we got the option to put a url/frame as a CTA I was hyped But you really gotta go look for it which defeats it's utility

Native membership/invites management. For my channels I use Cura but I still receive a lot of DC from users that end up in the “requests” inbox that I don’t read.

I wish I could highlight casts somehow without pinning them per se. Since the feed is reverse chronological, I don’t really have a way to showcase the posts that are really great. But I’m honestly not sure how many people scroll channels anymore. I do, but I may be the exception.

Everything is good and all, but to be honest I prefer the good times of top casters, main feed and recent feed. Would have been good to just iterate main feed with good neynar scores

Channel rules and a standard message when there are requirements for joining a channel to blast out. Warnings for those who break the rules sorta like how discord has it. NO just kicking them out isn't the solution 💜
