i have a strong feeling that this unnecessarily overcomplicated the protocol and used-facing channel management on the other hand, i'm on board with giving devs more options still, something doesn't sit right with me here 🤔 sounds more like feels making features for geeks than for the people 🤔

How are moderators chosen? One option is autocracy where the channel creator remains channel mod forever. The other could be to tie the moderator role to an NFT. Anyone who holds that NFT would be the mod. This would unlock many different options on how to choose/elect a mod (e.g. via DAO onchain voting).
