getting in on this with an unexpected one: my japanese water boiler. picked it up in japan as a gift for my tea-loving wife. thought it was a little much at first, but the thing has turned out to be so essential for us. it's awesome.

it rapidly modulates between boiling temps and warm water temps, so i can go from 160F to ~200F in seconds, just a push of the button. it's akin to a rice cooker for me. add water in the morning and we're good all day. started with just tea, but now use for coffee and cooking.
