There's no way for a channel to be a community hub right now. If the Merkle team had conviction on communities being their growth factor, they'd build ways for that to be possible, but they don't, so they won't.

Hard for me to say, since you have data that I don’t. Your roadmap shows no channel work, which tells me the latest channel changes haven’t created the kind of impact you need to invest in channels right now. If you’re asking how I’d make a channel a community hub, the big issue is that you can’t JUST exist on FC like you can FB or Reddit. Anyone seriously building a community here has to build a website and other tech infrastructure to run their community. Most people building a community don’t want to do that. So how can you make a channel “standalone”? I don’t know, but it likely has one foot in FC and one foot out. People need to be able to interact without an FC account, and that’s really hard with the current UI. Channels are at a local maximum, people have gotten used to their current form. It’s gonna take something pretty big to either shake up peoples’ perception or enable a new behaviour.
