How are the new channel feeds working for people? Noticing that certain channels, e.g. /parenting it's worse. But for the big channels like /frames or /ethereum, seems much higher signal. Either reply with an example or send me a DC.

I feel like there is no one size fits all solution. Every user should be able to control its algo per channel. For each channel, I would put 1 single feed but I would give users a slider that goes from "recent" to "trending" that would give the user its personalized view.

it's ok but now i feel like i have to go into recents every morning to like casts from smaller accounts so they go to the "front page" trending feed. i didn't have issues with content in /vip before the change so this is an extra step, like i have to approve individual casts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For smaller channels without mod issues this feels not useful would like an option to disable/enable two feeds as a channel mod

trending channels should not be applied where members < N amount, or a relative threshold. smaller channels get crushed by stale content.

Not a fan of it in /coffee and /pokemon where there's not so much activity that I want a trending feed. When I click over and see the same post at the top I assume there's nothing new, but really it just defaults to trending

to be honest I liked it better before. Have been purposefully going to recent to try to find new smaller fan base people to recast to try to give smaller accounts a chance to be seen

I’m in a chat with 12 pinned messages and I have to scroll to the bottom of them in both tabs to see the trending or recents.

Do you have data on how many people now see the Recent tab? My guess is that everyone is opted-in to Trending tab automatically, and for content makers this is now and additional barrier to break to be seen.

Trying to figure out how pinned casts fit in the new setup. In /art trending fully consisted of the pinned casts current (5-6 casts) and previous (another 5-6). Currently don’t have any to see how organic selection in trending will look like.

Default view to recent or trending should be configurable by the host or the users. In low traffic channels the trending is not optimal as default.

I like it! But I think I would keep the pinned in one or the other, not both (or perhaps even better, a third feed with only pinned posts) Makes it too difficult to get to the trending or recent

Any chance you can bring back channel identification on the main trending feed for each cast? It’s always kind of nice to see where people are posting without having to dig into each cast.
