On Twitter, as a reader, do you care about pinned tweets on a user's profile? Or would you prefer to see the most recent popular tweet from that user? Especially for someone you don't follow.

i prefer pinned tweets b/c it highlights what the person wants to feature of themselves, whereas recent tweets could be anything from reacting to recent events to shitposting @cameron 👀

Pinned. Let the user control what they want to be popular.

Interested in a pinned tweet but not multiple ones, that's just annoying. The pinned tweet can always refer to a thread for multiple tweets. I think that's a nice middle ground.

Pinned tweets are useful. Whether user decides to make it informational, most popular tweet, whatever. Usually PTs have a way of providing good context for the profile and the personality of the person behind it. If it were purely algorithmic, it would feel disingenuous in my opinion

Pinned tweet can be an extension of the person’s bio. Something they want everyone to take in as critical to their profile. I def care about it

yes. within a certain timeframe (past 6 months). If over 1 year old or several years old, it starts to lose signal. Aim of a pinned tweet is to show content they are proud of and feel most represents them

I find it useful. Configurable real estate before the profile description. Maybe limit to 1 pin?

i do like pinned tweets. it lets ppl highlight what they're working on rn or a thread of threads or just a recent banger more in tune with the meta than an algo-chosen tweet can be
