One idea I had: possible to add authors with Automod liked casts to initial channel members list at the time this change is made? Reduces work to add them back by hand

What happens with channels where the owner has not posted in months and has essentially left the network for all intents and purposes. Will these now be dead or is there a chance to relax posting rules for channels where owners make no attempt to invite others after a certain period of time?

How does this change auto moderation? Person has a membership to the channel, are casts still required to be liked by a moderator to show up in the feed?

Hey Dan, quick question! Based on the upcoming channel changes, what happens if I quote cast someone in a channel where I’m not a member? Does it show an error message that I can’t cast there, or does the cast automatically go to my personal feed? Thanks!

Seems like a steep slope for people new to Farcaster. I love the idea of better curated communities and less spam (looking at you /manga-anime ), but it's not clear to me how new Casters can easily participate. Is this a test of the feature? And maybe down the line, the invite-only aspect becomes optional?

Do these changes affect the protocol or just Warpcast? I assume only Warpcast because other clients don’t respect my Automod settings, but I’m not sure if this update makes changes to the fundamentals of how channels work on the protocol.

one question i thought of yesterday – what happens to all the curated casts in the channel up until the switch over? will the history just show all casts including hidden spam or show no casts until members are added? or no change to everything before the switch?

I know it’s idealistic to think this but it would be so cool if we could onboard users with unfunded wallets somehow after the initial signup. I know that is completely unrealistic with the bot issues currently going on. Interested to see where this goes and maybe people post more to no channels as the norm and channels become something beyond what a channel means today.
