New experiment on Warpcast Channel streaks - Choose a channel you want to display on your profile - Cast in that channel daily to keep the streak - Get an in-app reminder to cast in the channel - Opt-in; the streak indicator will only appear on your profile to others if you do - Pick a channel you’d like to be more active in - Only one streak at a time

- Streaks are protocol-native today (but the streak you highlight on your profile is not); other apps can show all of your channel streaks if they want (Warpcast only shows 1) - If your streak expires, you can start a new streak - No other benefit to streaks other than the satisfaction of number go up that’s 100% in your control - If the experiment is successful, we will likely add ways to surface users with streaks to channel mods. A good way to get discovered. - Your cast doesn’t have to end up in the main feed. It can also be a reply. if we end up showcasing active streaks on channel pages, we’ll give channel mods control (they aren’t visible on channel pages now).

Why are you doing this? It feels gamified? It’s opt-in. Don’t like it, don’t use it. Our top priority is increasing interesting and entertaining content on Farcaster. Especially in channels. So marginal improvements to nudge more casting in channels is what we’re experimenting with. We’ll let this run for a bit to see if people 1) find them useful 2) results in more interesting and entertaining content. Personally, I’m using it as a daily reminder to post or reply to something in /founders.

A few initial observations, @dwr.eth, @gt. • I tapped to start a streak yesterday, then backed out before casting; the “Started a streak” badge appeared on my profile anyway — feels like it should only appear after casting once, which I did shortly after. • I casted a second time today to maintain my streak, but the badge still says “Started a streak” — feels like it should update to reflect maintaining the streak, ideally with a counter to differentiate between new streakers and longtime streakers. Perhaps I haven’t figured out the streak window. • the button should click-through to the corresponding channel.

Day 1 observations, @dwr.eth, @gt: • although it’s true that I have one day of streaking since I opted-in and you’ve been counting, it would be more accurate and true to count all of the days that I’ve streaked for the channel that I opted-in to — it feels like an opportunity to lean in to the accuracy of the blockchain rather than the convenience of releasing a feature(?) • nice that the label/button clicks-through to the channel —however it looks a little inconsistent with all of the other profile UI, especially in dark-purple mode.

Question: When is it considered a new day for us to know the point from which new casts would be already a new streak? Does it consider local time of the client (which I wouldn’t advise due to the fact that the user could change the local time on his device) or a specific server time and which one is? GMT time?

Day 3(?) observations, @dwr.eth, @gt: • I received a “Keep your streak” notification, but it didn’t include a timestamp or an indication of my window of opportunity — any time-frame indication would help, otherwise it’s just stressfull. Consider adding the channel context to make it feel more personal and less cold. Spacing feels off. Nice that the relevant channel is selected. • After casting, my count didn’t increase — feels broken.
